Dear Friends and Fellow Ludwigs, It is time for Symhony of the week!
About this Melody
As you walk along the streets of Optimism City the music fills the air. The sounds from the rooftops feed the energy of the city. Like Vienna in the olden days, where violins and clarinets could be heard where ever you went.
This week we celebrate those at the heart of this celebration of life, it’s our very special Optimistic 8-Track on Optimism. USDC, sUSD, LYRA, PERP, SNX, BAL, BEETS, and OP. Eight beautiful sounds that together composes a wonderful Symphony.
Performance
Trade volume began the week with $7K (July 09) which almost doubled overnight to $13k. The next few days saw volume range between $8.5k to $11k before falling to $2.7k (July 14), the low for the period. Volume then recovered to $8k on the last day (July 15).
TVL started the period at $159k and stayed relatively constant throughout the period. The low for the week was $155k (July 11) and the high was $166k (July 14).
Rewards
Swap Fee APR followed a similar pattern to that of volumes with a low for the week of 5.95% (July 14) and the high of 30.61% (July 10).
Optimistic 8 Track also receives BAL rewards as liquidity mining incentives. For the majority of the week, BAL rewards APR was consistently above 67%, the last day (July 15) saw the lowest BAL rewards with 50.88%
Comparison
Thanks to the wonderful Balancer technology, Beethovenx is the only place a person can find a multi token pool that celebrates everything that is Optimism.
The utilization rate ranged between 1.63% and 8.5% during the period, not bad for a city only just starting to grow.
If we consider the cost of rewards allocated to the pool we can see that for the whole period, each $1 of rewards spent generated >$1 in swap fees. The low for the week was $0.08 (July 14) while the high was $0.42 (July 10).
Conclusion
Optimism City is alive and as the music gets louder so will this celebration. Until then; sing, dance, celebrate everything this City has to offer. Until next time
