Happy Equinox, dear Ludwigs!
This week is the spring equinox, one of the seasonal markers in the Earth’s year-long orbit, when the Sun appears to shine directly over the equator. An omen, if you’d like, a sign, a transition. A period of change, towards growth and the fulfilment of our Earthly mission — The absolute dominion of DeFi in the most loving, caring and kindest way possible.
A moment to gather our thoughts and intentions, to reflect on the journey that has passed and to project our bony bodies into the future of the Cryptoverse. Towards all of the awesomeness to come and the joy to be shared within the community. To Vienna we say, To Vienna!
So what’s on the concerto this week?
New Emissions from the Gauge Vote:
Round 6 of the bi weekly gauge is complete and the moment we have all been waiting for is nearly upon us — The updated pool emissions.
We will be implementing the updates for the pools over the next couple of days and will keep you all informed as we proceed. For the final results of the gauge vote you can check out the snapshot here.
As we see the Gauge Vote continue to firmly take root within the ecosystem, we want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed towards its development, past present and future.
Symphony of the week:
This week’s symphony will be one for the history books, a story you simply don’t want to miss. This masterpiece is in the pipeline for a scheduled release tomorrow so stay tuned to our Discord/Twitter for updated info.
Boosted Pools:
Would the week be complete without the venerable mention of our beloved Boosted Pools? We think not!
Boosted pools remain a focus for the team and as the tech continues to evolve it is our job, nay privilege, to make sure you are all aware of just how awesome they truly are. We will be releasing this week a full length medium piece outlining how this novel tech is changing the games as well as a series of short threads to really highlight their benefits.
Yearn Vaults:
We are super excited to announce that fBEETS are now Yearn Vault compatible. Powered by the tech from YFI, users can now deposit their fBEETS into a vault that will maximise yield through shifting capital, auto compounding and rebalancing. Custody and responsibility for holdings remains with the user and can be withdrawn at any time.
You can find out more about what Yearn has to offer here.
Community Discussions:
Governance remains at the heart of the Beethoven ethos and as we grow as a protocol it is only natural for the community to become more involved in the decisions that drive us as a collective into the future. There are a number of discussions that will be taking place over the coming week and so we want to draw attention to the governance section on our Discord. We post major discussions as an announcement and encourage members of the community to take part in the evolution of the protocol by engaging with the discussion channels.
Governance proposals will always be hosted via snapshot and can be found under the vote section on the Beethoven X web page.
The X Fund:
Impact over Intention.
At Beethoven X we truly care about the beautiful planet that we live on and all of its wonderful inhabitants. A commitment we have made as a collective is to make sure we do our very best to support and protect the world around us in as many ways as we possibly can. The Beethoven X fund, currently called “The Beethoven X Climate Fund”, is our attempt to begin to address the issues we face as a species and over the coming weeks we will be defining how we can start to have an impact on all that we hold so dearly around us. The work that is taking place this week is the calculation of the Beethoven X Carbon Emissions, Scope 1, 2, 3 to be able to do proper Green House Gas Accounting — to take responsibility for whatever resources are needed to run Beethoven X.
From the Devs:
“A Devs gotta do what a Devs gotta do” and that’s build a whole bunch of awesomeness. Here’s what they have to say this week:
- Working on a multi token rewarder to further develop our FaaS capabilities. The smart contract additions will allow projects to offer multiple token rewards for LPs instead of just one.
- Deployed a new rewarder for the Deus Finance liquidity pool which is now live. You can check out the pool here.
- General bug fixes and UX/UI updates.
- Improvements and technical tweaks to the Boosted Flagship Pools.
- Development is under way to build the UI that will harbour the upcoming Locking functionality for fBEETS.
As we transition into a new season, we welcome the change that comes with it. It’s an opportunity to make new music and share our wonderful sounds with the world. It has been such a pleasure to grow alongside such an amazing community and we are looking forward to the next adventures on our journey.
We wish you all the very best for the week ahead!
Love as always,
Beethoven X
