Welcome back to another beautiful week at BEETS.
How time flies when you’re having fun. Its full speed ahead into the 2nd quarter of the year and we’re mid way through April already.
Movin’ and Groovin’ there is a bustling week of innovation and community high jinks in store for ye dear Ludwigs.

Tech
Dare we say it?! The BOOSTED revolution.
It’s been a long time coming but the revolution is back on the agenda — it never really left. Over the past few months the adoption of LSDs has increased significantly and now more than ever before do we see the potential for an interest bearing future. Our technology is the most efficient way to leverage this trend and Boosted Pools lie at the heart of this transition. With the finalities out of the way it’s full steam ahead, things are about to get spicy on OP and FTM.
In the wake of the Boosted Revolution the devs have also been working on ways in which we can accurately discern where all of this yield comes from and how much each pool contributes to the DEX. This will present a major advantage in terms of bounties, pool efficiency, protocol stats etc, and a preliminary data tool should be dropping at the end of this week.
As always, tweaks are constantly being made to the front end UI to improve overall flow as well updates to the backend. Efficiency and security are the name of the game and the Devs are always striving to make that happen.
Governance
Governance is an ongoing process of ideation, discussion, voting and implementation. Poetry in motion.
We are always eager to have the community actively involved and engaged in steering the future of the protocol but with so much going on it can be hard to keep up to speed.
Here are some of the recent updates.
BIP-40: Extend core contributor funding from treasury
Since the adoption of BIP-35 in October 2022, the contributor runway has been augmented by $25k per month from the Treasury. This proposal, if adopted, will help to extend the current runway to 12+ months once again. The motivation for this is to retain and attract contributors who are able to further develop and refine Beethoven X and Balancer technology while simultaneously educating the public about its benefits and promoting its use.
BIP-41: Extend treasury funding for infrastructure cost
Since July 2022 the treasury has covered the infrastructure costs for the operation of beets.fi (BIP-23 and BIP-36) The overarching requirements have been:
- Infrastructure cost claims are capped at $10k per month.
- Contributors strive towards reducing the average cost.
The current extension ended at the end of March 2023.This proposal is to continue the funding of infrastructure costs by the DAO Treasury while lowering the cap to $7500 per month for another 6 months until the end of September 2023.

Gauge Vote
BEETS are back at it again!!
Another wave of the bi-weekly Gauge Vote has been completed and the votes are in. Emission updates for pools will be implemented this Wednesday and the final results for Round 34 can be found in the Tweet below.
