Dear Friends and Fellow Ludwigs,

WOW! What a week it has been and what a week we have in store for you.

We are sure the departure of some of Fantoms influencers is fresh in the minds of you all as well as the recent volatility within the market. As sad as it is to see great pioneers leave this wonderful wonderful community, we at BEETS embrace the current situation as an opportunity to show the world who we truly are and what we have to offer. To turn up the volume of our music and invite you all to dance with us.

We want to wish them all the best in their onward journey, wherever that may take them and we are grateful for the many lessons learned. But for now we still have unfinished business. We have an agenda and we are committed to our mission, to our community and to becoming the leading DEX in the Fantom Ecosystem.

So what is on the Concerto for the week ahead?

Monthly Performance Report:

The thing you have all been waiting for, the music you have longed for, the monthly event that makes your heart go boom and waters your eyes from pure joy, the monthly performance report is being released this week.

The performance report is an in-depth overview of how the business is performing. It aims to define the metrics of success for Beethoven X in a fun and easy to understand manner as well as offer transparency to our users. The report will be detailed in depth during the live Community Town Hall on Wednesday and will be followed up with a short Medium article later in the week. We can’t wait to share the month of February with you. (Alpha: It was a good month)

New Emissions from Gauge Vote:

Round 5 of the bi weekly gauge is now complete and was met with another wave of success and excitement. We had numerous protocols join in on the action and offer up enticing incentives for our fBEET holders to vote. The gauge vote continues to evolve and we couldn’t be more appreciative of the support and engagement from the ecosystem.

We will be implementing the emission updates for the pools over the next couple of days and will keep you all informed as we proceed. For the final results of the gauge vote check out the snapshot here.

Ukraine NFT:

Last week we saw the close of a pop up initiative we created to show our love and support to those in need as a result of the conflict in Ukraine. We created an NFT to offer members of our community the opportunity to contribute towards our efforts in exchange for an NFT. We collected, in total, 83 wallet addresses and we are SO PROUD that we could do something together as a community, as a collective to help provide some support for those in need. We would like to say thank you to everyone who participated, it truly means the world to us and we are so grateful to have such a wonderful community of Ludwigs.

The NFTs have been minted and the Peace and Love collection is now live and can be found here. The collection marks the beginning of our commitment to creating a better world through DeFi and our dedication towards social justice.

NFT Update:

Finally, unleash the creativity and the wildness of the music. This week we’ll be talking about NFTs in our Community Town Hall and reveal some of our plans for the future. We have also minted some new HELPINLUDWIGS for the people who helped us become what we are today. Follow this link to check out the new members of the collection. In addition to that, we’ll be giving away a partner NFT in our beloved Ludwig Lounge. If you don’t know what the Ludwig Lounge is or how to access it, find a freshly written step by step guide here.

Community Town Hall:

We will be meeting once again for a highly anticipated monthly chat with you, the community, this Wednesday at 20:00 UTC. We have another jam packed agenda in store and will be discussing the performance of the protocol over the last month, the development of our NFTs, recent changes to the ecosystem and dropping some serious alpha on boosted pools as well as answering questions from the community. We are looking forward to seeing you all there!

The AMA will take place in the Community Town Hall over on our discord.

Roadmap v. 0.3:

As we approach the end of Q1 for 2022 we feel like it’s time to update the community with our plans for the future. We have witnessed an incredible start to the year so far and we are excited to share our roadmap for the rest of the year . The roadmap is undergoing its final revisions and is scheduled for a release for the beginning of Q2. You will not see it this week, however we wanted to bring to your attention that we are working on it behind the scenes.

Financial highlights:

As with most breaking news, volatility soon follows. Since the start of the month we have almost achieved $400m in volume and the protocol fee collector is just over $100k. You will receive more updates in our Community Town Hall.

Boosted Pools:

It’s been a month since we released the first iteration of boosted pools on Beethoven and as promised we have been hard at work to continue their evolution. We are tweaking the final adjustments and we are oh so close to perfection. We are super excited at the possibilities boosted pools will bring to the ecosystem, it’s time for some serious innovation. Stay tuned for more information on boosted pools coming up soon.

Learning the notes:

Education, education, education. Learning is so important and we want to play our part in helping you all stay up to speed with all of the intricacies of this marvellous playground. From the absolute beginner to the seasoned veteran we aim to provide nourishing content for everyone. The “learning the notes” series will be added to our website later this week and will be updated with educational content as we move forward.

Devs:

The Concerto wouldn’t be complete without some love from the Devs. This week the mad scientist have the following to report:

  • Boosted pools, Smart order router (SOR), and more boosted pools.
  • Keep your eyes peeled for some long awaited UX improvements dropping later this week.
  • Upgrades to the locking contract according to CvxLockerV2 to accommodate for issues found in the vlCVX rewards system and allow relocking without losing voting power for the current epoch. For more info on the bug in the vlCVX locking contract check out the following medium article here.
  • Fresh rinkeby deployment with all new contracts to prepare for the locking test phase.
  • Discord tooling to alert before rewarders (FaaS) run empty.
  • Tooling around gauge votes with delegates.

As we continue our journey to build Beethoven X on Fantom and unleash the music and creativity, we would like to take a moment to pause and say thank you to all the builders before us as well as all of the wonderful builders who are still out there today actively creating the world we live and play in.

Just a wholehearted thank you!

We see a clear future for Fantom and the entire crypto ecosystem. A future that is innovative and sustainable. A future that is decentralised, trustless and fair. A future that is full of culture and compassion. A future built for the community, by the community.

We are an independent, innovative team pushing the boundaries of what DeFi can offer the world and we will be continuing on our journey, our mission of providing the best possible product/service to a community we love and cherish dearly.

We are committed to our cause, to our mission, to our community.

We wish you all an amazing week ahead and we hope to see you all at the AMA tomorrow evening.

Love as always,

Beethoven X
