Dear Friends and Fellow Ludwigs,
The week just past has been a week for reflection at Beethoven X. We have been startled, like many, at the news and current affairs. We have shed tears and our bony hearts ache with sadness and compassion for the world around us. It has been emotional and it has been spiritual. We have deepened our resolve as a team and as a community to stand up for what we believe to be righteous and to commit to creating a future guided by love, kindness and peace for all.
As we step into this week we do so with a felt sense of humbled reverence. We are strong as a team, we are even more powerful as a community and we are here to make a difference, we are here to make a change!
So what is on the Concerto Programme this week?
Gauge Vote:
It feels like it was just yesterday since we last held our bi weekly gauge vote. It has been so exciting to watch the gauge vote develop and we are looking forward to the start of round 05 at the end of this week. The gauge vote will be held this Thursday however the exact timing of the snapshot will be called at random. We will keep the community informed as the vote develops as well as provide up to date coverage of any voting incentives offered by protocols in the ecosystem.
We know the gauge vote can be a little overwhelming for newer members of the community and so we have put together an educational piece to guide users through the what, why and hows of the gauge vote that will be released later this week.
Symphony of the week:
This week’s symphony will not fail to deliver and is in the pipeline for a scheduled release tomorrow. Stay tuned to our out Discord/Twitter for more updates.
Survey on Locking:
We released a survey to collect information from the community around the subject of locking. The survey has been met with positive success and will remain online until Wednesday. If you haven’t already filled in the survey please check out the following link here and share your thoughts.
For anyone that has already completed the survey we would like to offer thanks and appreciation for your support.
A tiny contribution for love and music:
As the situation in Ukraine/Russia has escalated the Team at Beethoven X has decided on a couple of initiatives to show our sympathy and support:
- An NFT has been designed to represent our opposition to violence and oppression. By sharing your support towards this cause, we will send participants an NFT.
- The team has decided to send $5000 each to a charity of their choosing.

AMA with TUSD:
Following the launch of the dual incentivised stable pool The Grand Steady Orchestra of TUSD the team over at TrueUSD will be hosting an interactive AMA with Beethoven X to discuss a couple of hot topics. The AMA is scheduled for Friday at 13:00UTC and will be hosted as a Twitter Space.

Treasury Vote:
Last week we saw the conclusion of a vote to decide on the allocation for 50% of the treasury for the month of February. Based on the results of the vote the following pools will receive a 25% allocation: The Fidelio Duetto and Steady Fresh Beets.It’s important to remember that only 50% of the treasury investment is up for the vote as both the Steady Beets and Fantom of the Opera pools will receive a 25% base allocation respectively.

InsurAce — DeFi Insurance:
InsurAce is a full-spectrum cross-chain insurance product line that currently provides coverage across 12 chains. They offer protection against smart contract vulnerability, custodian risk, IDO event risk and stablecoin de-peg risk and are expanding their product services to include NFT insurance and cross-chain bridge cover in the near future.
We have finalised the onboarding process with insurace.io and will go live on Friday. Users will be able to purchase contract insurance with a yearly premium of 4.85%. Anyone that purchases a policy via our referral link will be eligible to a 10% discount in the form of $INSUR tokens.

NFT:
Last week all of our Early Ludwigs — holders of the ‘First collection of the life and times of Ludwig the Undead’ were surprised by the Byte Masons team and had the unique opportunity to buy into their token launch with extraordinary conditions.
This week we’ll get going with the launch of our ‘Mix-Tapes and Mementos’ collection and will be giving away a couple of our own as well as partner NFTs in the Ludwig Lounge on Discord. Make sure to keep an eye out.
We are also really proud to mint our ‘Music for Peace & Justice’ collection to all who show sympathy and support to our friends in Ukraine.
We are excited to be adding additional utility to our NFT collections in the future and will keep you all posted as we go along.
Business/Financial summary:
This week we will distribute the monthly revenue and we will give you detailed information about the distribution on Wednesday (latest Thursday). We also would like to point your attention to the community town hall on Wednesday 9th of March where we once again will go through our monthly performance.
From the Devs:
The masterminds over at the Development HQ have been relentless in their pursuit for excellence and have been busy doing what they do best, innovating. Among many of the projects that are being worked on they have the following update for the community:
- The final stages of development for the Locking initiative are being put together and all of the moving parts are being completed (revenue sharing, data aggregation).
- We are looking into integrating a delegation strategy for our votes so users can delegate their voting power. This needs a little more testing and as soon as we feel confident with our decisions we will update the community.
We have been deeply moved and inspired by the support and engagement from our community over the past couple of months. It gives us such a feeling of joy and truly strengthens our resolve, our purpose to continue towards creating a better world through DeFi. We wouldn’t be here without your active participation and your contributions towards developing our community and we are eternally grateful.
We love what we do with a passion that blazes like a wildfire and we have never been more invigorated to be contributing to the DeFi ecosystem.
